About
This is Chinmay.
I am a dynamic software engineer passionate about computer science and technology. I enjoy finding and developing technological solutions to challenging problems. My passion and curiosity have driven me to continuously learn, form and evolve opinions based on new information, and explore a diverse range of interests.
Currently, I work at PTC, where I build and maintain the automation and customization (TOOLKIT) APIs for Creo, a leading CAD product. I am also actively involved in the development of the TOOLKIT app support infrastructure for Creo+, the SaaS version of Creo. My work enables other companies to create, build, and distribute TOOLKIT apps using our infrastructure.
As a curious person, I am eager to learn. Recently, I read the book Designing Data-Intensive Applications which got me interested in modern distributed systems. I am currently learning and practicing more hands-on skills from MIT OpenCourseWare’s Distributed Systems.
Most of the code I have written has been in either Python, C++, C, JavaScript, or Bash. However, I have had no problem (and have, in fact, enjoyed) learning programming languages that offer neat features to make life easier when completing certain tasks.
Sport has influenced me a lot. Beyond computer science, you will most often find me listening to music, discussing philosophy, or playing some sport with utmost intensity. I also maintain Volect.com with my friend where I intermittently share tech opinions.
